The 150th winner of the 1000 Guineas, held on Thursday 2nd May 1963 over the Rowley Mile, was Hula Dancer (1/2 fav), a grey filly by Native Dancer out of Flash On, owned by Mme Gertrude T Widener. The winner won by a length in 1 minute 42.34 secs, with 1 1/4 lengths back to the third. A field of 12 runners contested the race which was worth £22,829 (Equivalent to £447,500 in 2017)
